What's new in release 0.7.0 : ---------------------------- Major Features: - Archive management : tar, tgz, gz, bz2, zip. You can now explore any archive like a normal dir, using REAl or VIRTUAL modes. see reference.txt for details. - Archive creation : you can create a new archive by pressing Alt-F5 or Shift-F5 - file search mode : press a letter moves to go 1st file begining with this letter; press it a 2nd time and you go to the next file begining with this letter, and so on... - A new "HotDir" menu editor to classify you HotDirs (Alt-F1/F2 or Shift-F1/F2) - added new keyboard shorcuts (see reference.txt). - You can now classify files according to name, size, date or extension, adn reverse the sort order. - File attributes are now copied. - Added file permissions management, but only one file at a time for now (Chmod button or Ctrl-c). - Internal and external editoras now have scrollbars. - Function "add to start menu" now works correctly. - Added a detailed "File Information" function. - Added a function to remove annoying "core" files on disk. - Added a simple image viewer with F3 (not all images types). Minor news/fixes: - You can now choose to force file "synchronisation", that is to flush cache after each copy/rename/move/delete operation for security purpose (mostly useful for floppies). Drawback : it is slower than "non-sync" file operation. - Shift-F4 used to work only on the left panel ! (sorry) - Fixed a focus problem when unfolding a dir-menu (Alt-F1 orAlt-F2) in the non-active panel - Fixed selection problems : when using PatternSelection/Deselection, files selected in the background used to loose apparent selection (they were still selected anyway). note : 0.6.9 was a pre-release of 0.7.0, so its main new features are described in 0.7.0
